Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
PixelMetrik (https://pixelmetrik.com) provides free developer and designer utilities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
1. Summary
- Most tools (JSON viewer, CSS generators, SVG tools, etc.) run entirely in your browser. We do not receive the content you paste or generate in those tools.
- The AI Image Upscaler sends images you upload to our servers for processing.
- We use cookies and local storage for preferences, optional sign-in, and advertising.
- We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) to create and maintain your account. If you use the AI Image Upscaler, we receive the image files you upload and related job metadata needed to process and return results.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit PixelMetrik, our servers and service providers may automatically collect standard log data, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the service.
2.3 Local storage and cookies
We use browser local storage and cookies to:
- Remember your theme preference (light/dark mode)
- Remember UI preferences (for example, sidebar or pane layout)
- Maintain optional sign-in sessions
- Support guest session identifiers for server-side features
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if you disable storage.
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the website and tools
- Process image upscaling requests and deliver results
- Authenticate users who choose to sign in
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and protect security
- Display advertising through Google AdSense
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Local vs server-side tools
Tools marked as running locally in your browser process data on your device only. That data is not transmitted to PixelMetrik for those tools. Server-side tools (such as the AI Image Upscaler) require uploading content to our infrastructure. Do not upload sensitive, confidential, or personal data unless you accept that it will be processed on our servers.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud.
For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Our advertising partner identifier: pub-9909081223673870 (see also our ads.txt file).
6. Cookie consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google may show a consent dialog (through Google Privacy & messaging) before personalized advertising cookies are used. You can change your choices at any time using the Privacy settings link in our site footer, which reopens Google's consent message.
We use Google Consent Mode so ad tags respect your choices. If you decline personalized ads, Google may still serve limited (non-personalized) ads where permitted. You can also manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
7. Third-party services
We may use third-party services that process data on our behalf, including:
- Google — Sign-in (Identity Services) and advertising (AdSense)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — To run the website, API, and image processing
- Cloud storage providers — To store uploaded and processed images for server-side tools
These providers are permitted to process data only as needed to perform services for us and are subject to their own privacy policies.
8. Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Uploaded images and job data for server-side processing may be deleted after processing or after a reasonable retention period for operational and backup purposes.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
PixelMetrik is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International users
If you access PixelMetrik from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in that country or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. You may sign out at any time to end an authenticated session. To request access or deletion of account-related data, contact us using the information below.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
